Training for a Challenge?

New Year, New You; Tackle 2017 With Balls!

It’s December the 1st – 143 days to go until the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April 2017. For the 38,000 set to run it the next four months are all about working towards building stamina, negotiating Christmas excess and conquering targets.

Whether you are training with a running group, an app or a personal trainer, Kate Percy, founder of Go Faster Food has your energy needs covered with her newly-launched Go Bites®!  These incredible little energy balls are made from 100% natural ingredients, (gluten free and two out of three types are vegan-friendly) they are totally delicious and expertly tailored by Kate to deliver the right type of energy at the right time.  A much healthier alternative to synthetic gels, there are three variants designed to fuel your training with ingredients specifically tailored for pre, during and post exercise.

2artboard-1The long winter months of dark days are wonderfully full of opportunity to train for ‘the Big One’ with half marathons and winter 10k runs punctuating the calendar until Spring. So today we are launching a campaign to help you keep on track with your training.  Called #GoFuelWithBalls, Kate – an athlete and runner herself – will be imparting daily nutrition advice on strategies to fuel your body specifically for running.  From delicious recipes from her Go Faster Food book to showing you how to use Go Bites to maintain optimum energy levels throughout your training.

And not only can Go Bites® help keep you on the go, but they could help others too, as 10% of the net profits from Go Bites® will go to fund Go Faster Food’s #EatLikeAnAthlete programme – an outreach programme for both adults and children, that uses sport as the inspiration to talk about healthy food choices.

There are three different types to choose from, all perfectly matched to compliment your routine – Date & Coconut Boost, Apricot & Seeds Refuel, Hazelnut & Chocolate Recover .

Don’t just take our word for it, Jazmin Sawyers, GB Long Jump Champion and Olympic Finalist in Rio 2016 commented: “As an Olympian, I have to ensure that everything I put in my body is both natural and nutritious.  Kate Percy’s Go Bites® are a great way for me to fuel my training.”

So to refine your training, tune into Twitter (and Facebook and Instagram!) and follow #GoFuelWithBalls.
